Thanks, Mary.

I tried to post to Texbirds, but it didn’t go through…:~/

This was my post if you’d like tore-send it for us J

It’s been a great week to see our resident birds doingtheir thing. Although
the weather gets pretty hot by 11am, birding atBentsen is as good as always.
This week and today, the Kiskadee Blind(along the KiskadeeTrail) has been a
great place to see many of our residentbirds coming in for a drink or for a
bath. In a short time in that blindyesterday, there were Altamira Orioles
coming in to take a break from nextbuilding as well as a few juvenile birds
lounging around, foraging Long-billedThrashers, Green Jays, Chachalacas dust
bathing, and nearby singing NorthernBeardless-Tyrannulets. This morning an
Orchard Oriole was seen and photographedat the same location. On the trail
leading to the blind, a pair ofAltamira Orioles are busy building their nest.
Luckily the nest is on powerlines pretty high above the trail so people walking
under them doesn’tseem to disturb them.

Also along Kiskadee blind, up to three NorthernBeardless-Tyrannulets have been
observed there on several occasions this week.

Not too much going on at the Hawk Toweras the Resaca there is dry, but there
are usually three of four Groove-billedAni’s in the area, another pair of
tyrannulets that vocalize prettyoften, and singing Painted Buntings.

Below is a list from today: Make sure to join us for ourguided Bird Walks –
