Three optimistic birders joined us today for a frigid, foggy and wind-chilled morning of birding. Temps were in the mid to high 40's before the windchill factor was added in. We ended the morning with a list of 20 species, which included a chase-down of a sparrow by the pair of hungry Aplomado's near the Tower Gate. Birding tours have begun on Laguna Atascosa on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, with Monday and Thursday visiting Bahia Grande. Call the visitor center for reservations and information. Good birding and stay warm!
