Greetings All:
This is for those of you following the epic saga of the South Plains
underdog versus the Central Texas favorite.

As of 10:50 AM on Saturday the 21st of June, Rich Kostecke had rebounded
from another, very brief, tie at 256 to 256 by adding Acadian Flycatcher
and Kentucky Warbler to his region ... and was just getting started, so I
suspected, on the day.

He managed to add only two more species to his region during the day
(Purple Gallinule and Hairy Woodpecker) - was it restraint, bad luck, or
pity for his opponent one wonders - and is now up 260 to 256. We are both
well on pace to hit our respective goals, given a decent fall migration,
but August and September will, I am afraid, favor his territory over mine.

I shan't give up, though, and I will keep you all posted.

Anthony 'Fat Tony' Hewetson; Lubbock
