Hi all!
Got down to Zacate Creek at around 8:15 yesterday from the Austin area. No such
luck on the Kingfisher, however we did have amazing looks at White-collared
Seedeater. Around 3 pm we hit Dos Laredos Park, where we only had 2 Greens for
kingfishers. We then camped the mouth of Zacate Creek, in hopes that the Amazon
came into the creek to roost for the night, although that proved to be
unsuccessful as well. Our fear is that he headed out when the cold front came
through.
We're currently heading down to Santa Ana and the rest of the Valley, but we
are open to coming back on Friday if it's seen again. If anyone sees it, please
keep me posted!
Good Birding,
Bryce Hardway
