On Tuesday within 5 minutes time Carolyn Oldham and Kathy Saucier observed a
male Yellow Warbler, female American Redstart and a Blackburnian Warbler in
the hackberry and pecan trees along a creek that runs through the Shades of
Green Nursery in Frisco, TX. Considering we both were on a mission for
buying plants, that is an awesome find. The Blackburnian was a lifer for
me. Thanks Carolyn!

If anyone is interested in looking through the trees to see what else they
can find, Shades of Green is on Coit Rd between Hwy 121 and Main Street in
Frisco (north of Plano in North Texas). Besides a great selection of native
plants capable of improving your yard to attract birds and butterflies, they
have a creek with mature trees running through that always attract something
good. Earlier this spring they had a Great Horned Owl nesting in their big
cottonwood.
