Hello all,
A late evening check of Imperial Reservoir in Pecos County yielded 2
immature Reddish Egrets, 1 white and 1 dark morph. They were the only
waders present. Surprisingly, there were few birds around. The other
notable birds included 1 Semipalmated Plover and 2 Stilt Sandpipers. I
learned that the park was closed to the public for the first time in a long
time just this year due to the landowner's health. All viewing has to be
done from outside the gate, so a high-powered scope is necessary.
