<<Question: did you test on 2003? What were the results.>> While you were off galavanting in Redmond, we DID discover that Outlook 2003 does NOT have this problem, Kathy....It seems to only be a problem with 2002 as far as we can see. I'm using the 2003 beta now and I left the registry untouched (the dword isn't even in there) and none of my messages have the equal signs in freelists...so, it appears Microsoft recognized this one and fixed it :-) Linda F. Greg: No Exchange. Thought I had SP 2 installed, but guess I must not. Question: did you test on 2003? What were the results. Oh, and in case you need other testing done, let me know. You might call breaking software during testing a hobby of both mine and my husbands. :) Kathryn Jacobs, Microsoft MVP PowerPoint
