In the Greater Cincinnati region, the venture capital
industry is recovering.

That also includes angel investing. On March 23,
2004, Queen City Angels and C-Cap present an intensive
one day workshop for individual investors.
This program is intended only for individuals who are
early-stage investors or are considering becoming
investors, and who are "accredited investors" under
the securities laws. Generally, to be accredited an
individual must have an annual income of $200,000 or
more individually, or $300,000 or more with spouse,
for the past two years and expect to have such an
income during the current year, or must have a net
worth of at least $1,000,000 (with spouse).
Intermediaries and service providers are not eligible
to attend.

This is an annual program for prospective early-stage
investors being presented by Queen City Angels and
C-Cap.

Queen City Angels has become the premier early-stage

Carl H. Lindner Medal Award.
Honorable mention is given to Tony Shipley, Chairman
of Queen City Angels, who will be receiving the Carl
H. Lindner Medal Award on March 23, 2004 at 7pm at the
University of Cincinnati College of Business
Cincinnati Business Achievement Awards Banquet at the
Millenium Hotel in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Here is Mr. Shipley's bio.
Tony Shipley is currently the Chairman of Queen City
Angels (QCA), a group of private investors that
invested in startup and early stage companies. Mr.
Shipley is also the retired President and CEO of Entek
IRD International Corporation. Mr. Shipley founded
Entek Scientific in 1981, and guided the company from
its meager beginning of no sales and two employees to
over $50M in sales and 400 employees servicing
customers on a global basis. In 1996, under the
leadership of Mr. Shipley, Entek acquired IRD
Mechanalysis and the expanded company was renamed
Entek IRD International Corporation. Following the
acquisition, Entek IRD became a major player in the
$1.5B industrial, plant-asset management market
segment. Entek IRD was sold to Rockwell International
in March 2000, and Mr. Shipley retired from the
company in May 2000. Mr. Shipley is a member of
various technical and business organizations and the
Greater Cincinnati Chamber of Commerce Leadership
Class XVIII.
