Basiclly yes. I prefer the IM method of doing GUI to the "classical" RM method. Also, it reduces the amount of dependent libraries and makes sure that the editor runs on all platforms teeworlds runs on. It possible to switch between client and editor for quicker turn-a-rounds. If you are connected to a server and have rcon, the editor will automaticly send sv_map_reload to the server. The editor is some what low priority as it works for now and most users doesn't use it, but yeah, there is loads of improvements that can be done. .matricks On Fri, May 8, 2009 at 4:41 PM, Damian Kaczmarek <rushpl@xxxxxxxxx> wrote: > 2009/5/8 Eloi Rivard <azmeuk@xxxxxxxxx>: > > By the way, why do not make the editor an independant program ? > > I mean, that's something for which you can ask help from the comunity. > You > > could also use an easier-to-use GUI, like wxwidgets for example. > I'm sure matricks wouldn't mind if you made an independant editor. ;) > My guess is that making an integrated editor was a magnitude easier > because of most > of the code being already in place.
