Checkout this website for more info on the sequential dot color tv system. I
have never seen one and I started as a tube checker (early RCA NTSC sets had
over 50 tubes) for the local tech (self employed and a graduate of the RCA
Color TV School in Danbury Ct.) I sure built up the calluses using the
latest Jackson preset tube checker.
