Some Sony receivers depend on the screws that mount the pc boards to the chassis to ground parts of the circuit boards. Works great till the screws work themselves loose, then you have intermittently ungrounded circuits, causes the units to go into protect intermittently. Also the screws between the RCA jacks on the back of the unit provide a ground path for some circuits. All screws must be re tightened and some should have a hardwire ground added. ******************************************************************************************************************* Since 1972 Jim Myers Telrad Electronics Fort Wayne, Indiana peggs wrote: > Ground Screws ??? > > Peggs > > At 08:13 AM 10/28/04, you wrote: > >>Hi Techs >> problem with this receiver, protector intermitten latch tapping around >>the board it work but it latch again check all the connection seem ok. >>anyone come across this problem >>thankyou >>Danny >>Ptg electronics ltd >>winnipeg manitoba >>Canada >> >> >>----------------------------------------------------------------------------- >>Lost Password: >>http://www.tech-assist.org and select "Login Problems?". >>Email Archives: >>//www.freelists.org/archives/techassist/ > > > -- > This message has been scanned by the OMU Online postini filter. > > > ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Lost Password: > http://www.tech-assist.org and select "Login Problems?". > Email Archives: > //www.freelists.org/archives/techassist/ > ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lost Password: http://www.tech-assist.org and select "Login Problems?".
