sharp doesn't have much market penetration here so we don't see many of their products - this one came in via another shop, which, according to customer, said it couldn't be repaired; the onlyist thing that appears to be wrong is the tape preload arm doesn't move so the tape isnt positioned properly between the capstan and the pinch roller ... looks like there are only two plastic parts that should cause it to move - both w/ ok gear teeth - no signs of anything broken around them either - from what marks we see it appears to be timed properly - it does everything you would expect it to when asked to play a tape except put the tape far 'nuff into the 'path' - question - which one (or both) should we replace and does anyone have the pn#(s) ??
