I also have a RCA with CTC185 using the eeprom 233180. It also does not
store the changed values. I spoke with Thompson tech support; I was told
there was a bad batch of eeprom chips. I thought that was strange, has any
one else run into this problem?

When setting parameters in new eprom this tv does not hold the new
values it gets back to the old settings. try pushing power button after
setting new values but tv goes back to original settings.
Does anyone has experienced this problem?
