Rafael,
All eeproms are programmable, including pre-programmed, unless they are 
defective or their pwr supply is low. If your "new" eeprom will not hold the 
data, check the supply voltage. There is a remote possibility that you could 
have a defective cpu, but I doubt it.

You either have a defective eeprom or a voltage problem.

Try this, install a socket for the eeprom, then turn the set on, then 
off(don't unplug), remove the new eeprom and install the old eeprom. Try 
turning the set back on. It will usually work. You may have to reset the 
paramaters 1 to 10.

When setting parameters in new eprom this tv does not hold the new
values it gets back to the old settings. try pushing power button after
setting new values but tv goes back to original settings.
Does anyone has experienced this problem?
any help appreciated.
