Hello All-- Mea Culpa Mea Culpa---Have found cause of fault----this set has 2 small boards that at first looked like interface boards to hook up the ribbons of the screen to ballast board----they are not interfaces but scan driver boards----I mistakenly installed the 2 boards in the wrong order----alll other boards in the set are installed with most of their components facing out whereas these 2 boards have their comp facing in----very interesting symptoms and thanks Phil for your always appreciated efforts-----there doesn't seem to be any accomadation in the menu for inverting the screen thanks again Peter Keith's Stereo ----- Original Message ----- From: "Keith (Keith's Stereo)" <keith@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: "techassist" <techassist@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, May 26, 2005 1:33 PM Subject: [TechAssist] pana TH-42pa20 Hello All, Interesting symptoms. This set came into our shop to be dismantled for a cleaning after a house fire. It was working just fine. After being dismantled, chem cleaned and then re-assembled, we have a picture that is inverted (upside down), vertical centering is about 1/3 from the bottom and the writing appears to be reversed. Anyone seen anything like this? Don't see any accomadation for reversal or inversion of pix. Wondering whether eeprom corruption might cause this kind of symptom. I'd be an inquiring mind if I knew what questions to ask HELP !!!!! peter Keith's Stereo keith@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Burl ON ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- - This Email List is Public.
