Before I did my coolant and cleaning, I flexed boards while watching the screen. As I touched the upright plug in "Horizontal Oscillator" module that plugs into the Deflection module the picture went black, and OK again. Removed the horizontal osc. module, resolder the plug stakes on the edge of the board, as well as remove the deflection board and resolder all stakes it mated to. Many ring cracks. Cured. Changed the green and blue fluid, cleaned the CRTs, mirror, lenses, etc. Converged nicely. Focused sharp. Set looks almost new for a 1989. It'll do for a bit til I get my wife thru college, house painted,...Ya know!
