[TechAssist] Re: fix it for you?

You know, I've sat quietly back in the wings here and took the multiple
ribbings for my stupid blunder of mis-stating the horizontal line, as a
vertical line in my second posting that asked for help. It's not my first
mistake and I doubt seriously it will be my last. And you're right Jack, I'm
sure some people here might not be as technically proficient as you. But isn't
that what this site is all about? What's that saying, "speak your truth,
quietly and clearly and listen to others. Even the dull and ignorant they too
have their stories." At least on this site it's entirely elective. You don't
have to chime in if you find it so offensive to your own personal sense of
logic...
Respectfully,
Bill

  Yeah!

What I think is going on here is that half of this
list is tech wannabes or hobbyists. I think most good
techs know how to use a scope and other test equipment
besides a DVM, and most can troubleshoot to component
level, and know the difference between video and
raster, vertical and horizontal. I'm not against
helping someone, but some of these posts go on and on
about the same problems, and seeminly teaching how to
troubleshoot as if we are the one's that are fixing
their unit. Perhaps we need to set some communication
guidlines or something. to me, there are too many
posts that are of this nature.
