hello collective, thanks for all the help on the rca tv, works great now, i have another question about an emerson vcr model vcr3002, when i first opened it there were some cold solder joints on the transformer and around the connector from power supply to main board. . fixed that, put everything back thinkin i had it wooped, then pluged in and no power again. i took it apart and when i press down on part of the main board close to connector i can make it go on and off(display). i completely resoldered the connector on the main board and on the supply and even the connector itself and still same problem. but what is weird is that once it comes on, as long as it is plugged in it will work no matter hopw hard you beat it, so then i thought maybe it came on when i touched something, sure enough after it is unplugged for about five minutes and shows no display, if i press my fingers onto the connector board it powers up/ so i started to try and see what voltages are missing, and everything looks the same, what could it be guys? am i missing a cap or what? troy _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp Help make your TechAssist online repair tips database better!
