[TechAssist] chipper check update CDs?

I purchased the Chippercheck unit from RCA a few yrs ago.I think from
the "publications dept." At the time the girl said I would periodically
get update CDs in the mail, included in the purchase. I never did. I am
not an ASC.
Am I entitled, or do I call and purchase them?
It's the kind of thing that I don't use much, so I never persued it.
Second question: I also have the TAG001 RCA alignment gen. I understand
the chip check can be used for the tuner alignments as well as the
TAG.(like on the ptk195,etc). Is this so, and which is simpler.
