Max,
When you removed the yoke, you decreased the load, hence a dim light bulb.
You could have a shorted picture tube.

Set was dead with several parts in power supply shorted or open.
I have replaced:
ICX3431 - Q3431 - C3432 - C3434 - R3431 - RX3433 - TX3204 (FBT). By
using the light bulb as the AC fuse it glows bright.
If I unplug the yoke and press power the set comes on with sound and
light bulb is dim. I also tried another yoke.
I can't find anything else shorted.
Any ideas? TIA
