Don't know if this apply to your case but we fixed many Zenith replacing
the 2 110k resisters in series, off collector of the HOT.

Walter,
The vertical IC uses -13vdc and +13vdc...check those sources. I've had
this same problem with these sets from bad vertical out, to bad
connections and once lifted a trace to one pad supplying the +13vdc.
This baby had be fooled the first time I had one.

Jeff this set has a full, (although dim) raster. Why would we suspect
the vertical?

But no, it's not any of the documented stuff. 'Bout decided on PIP
module problems.
At least two techs have mentioned PIP, but my board
is not like either of theirs.
Just gonna have to pull it off and get the can opener after it.
