Whats the module(s) used?
I've heard those Zenith CRTs start to arc and take out all manner of
parts.
 I just junked a zenith console SR2501EC (9-1557 module) that had a
blown fuse,a shortrd main reg FET (2SK526) and the HOT this time.
The previous month it was repaired for no vertical with a LA7833 and
assoc. parts. BUT: the CRT was noticibly weak, but viewable. Maybe thats
your problem: shorting CRT.
