Yes, I guess we provide a service and hope by being helpful the customer
will try us next time!  My first 2 years of business (started in March
1998) EVERY phone call was a paying job. Now only 30% of my phone calls
are paying jobs!  No one has any money, and there is more competition
where I live.

The customer pays for you to answer the phone??? Which one, the customer

your bench or the customer on the phone? If the customer on the phone
pays
for info, what do you do to collect?

This is an interesting topic since I spend a large portion of the day
interupting my work to answer questions over the phone. Usually for
people
who never bought anything from us in the first place. I have often
wished we
had a 900 number for phone down time.
