When you have a VCR with a tracking problem and after
you adjust the video tapepath guide post ,using a commercially recorded tape,
and have centered the tracking
front panel control, you wind up with a VCR that is not
record compatible with other VCR's. Do I put my
oscilloscope probe on the output of video head preamp?
I think the waveform needs to be flat along the top
of the video head signal.More times than not I
never have a schematic.
I apologies if this is a elementary question, but this
is why I join this group, to learn from the more experience
Tech's.
