George I believe that the statement that was made was regarding the cleaning
of the ACE head----using a toothbrush and Windex---anyone attempting to
clean a video head with a toothbrush has never been in this business and
disregarded the warnings on the piece of equipment i.e. No User Serviceable
Parts Peter Kowalik pe.kow@xxxxxxxxxxxx Keith's Stereo Burl On

Jim,
I would be extremely careful with that tooth brush, if you brush the heads
at right angle to the tape path you can very easily chip the heads. I use
small strips of paper and alcohol wiping the heads back and forth, again in
the direction of tape travel repeating with clean strips as needed. Any good
head cleaner can be used and the paper is cheap. Works for me.
