[TechAssist] VCR, Go Video DDV9550

Hello all, This is a dual VCR the customer said the record side records
distortion, what I see is what I will call a grainy picture, a faint static or
"snow" and an over all poor quality recording. My first thought was that this
was
some copy guard coming through but Im not sure, The pic does NOT fade in and
out which is common with copy guard. Has anyone seen this before? I have not.
Any help is appreciated.
