Thanks for responding to my comments, Jerry.
I kinda figured nobody would take my post very seriously.
The fact is,...people will still buy the products, no matter how much they
cost. Why ? Cause the American people are so spoiled, that they will not go
without the things they have become acustomed to enjoying, by plunging
themselves so far in dept with their credit cards, that MOST will never
recover.

They have shown that they will pay the price on just about anything if they
are given no choice. Just look at the price of gas, and the cost of buying a
new car. They continue to pay higher prices,....and nobody is even
complaining about it.

All I want them (The government) to do, is slap a high import fee on TVs,
and DVDs, and stereos, etc,, that are being dumped on the US market from
Mexico, and over seas. I know that's a move that involves the US government,
and the manufacturers, and service associations have little, or no contol
over it. But,...how long do you think TCE, and Philips will remain in China,
when they find out that people in the US are not allowing themselves to be
the dumpimg ground for all the JUNK that they are causing to flow from there
?

If someone SOMEWHERE does not do what needs to be done,....this country is
going to be LOST (In more ways then one). We need to get rid of NAFTA, slap
high import fees on units manufaturered over seas, and FORCE the electronic
manufacturers to build plants here in this country, to create more jobs for
the people. This way, more $$$ will be spent here in the US, the tax base
will increase, and people who really want to turn things around for the
better, will be able to do it, and the American consumer will be more able
to pay the higer prices that are going to be needed. Until then,...we are
just plain DOOMED,....and in this regard,...I tend to agree with you.
