[TechAssist] Toshiba TX37662, chassis TAC9195, cause of shorted HOT

This monster of a set has 3 separate boards: P/S board, signal board
including HOT and vertical, and flyback board with second HOT. First
HOT was shorted but flyback rings good. Replaced many vertical caps and
C871, a 22uF cap in the P/S. The cap in the P/S had high ESR. My
question is, could this cap have caused the first HOT to short? I
pulled all three boards so have no way to test it, except in the home.
Has anyone had experience with this model, or might someone have a
print? TIA
