This one SHOULD be obvious but I am stumped, as is my head techie.
A Toshiba M440 has developed an odd fault: it won't rewind or fast
forward with tape unlaced from the head. If it is in cue/review it
works like a charm, but straight Rew/FF, it engages the mode but does
not move.
Don't have the manual (or the inclination to get one for such an old
beast): does anyone remember this one well enough ?
Oh, I am a specialist in all types of recording oriented electronics,
from home studio up to big-league toys. If you have an obscure amp,
tape deck, processor etc, I may have notes in my files.
