Subject: [TechAssist] Toshiba CZ27V51 CRT Neck ARCING

Toshiba 27" TV
Model CZ27V51
Chassis TAC 9911

R216 is smoking

Set stays on for a fraction of a second, purple arcing inside CRT
(around G2 or focus electrodes)

With the CRT socket removed the whole neck lights up pale yellow
instead of purple. As if the filaments were receiving 15V instead
of 6V (of course the CRT socket is removed so that's not possible).

R216 is still smoking with the CRT socket removed

No time to measure voltages
