Does anyone have a schematic for this unit they could loan, rent or
email to me? I have just emailed the Treasure Chest Publishing and
waiting to hear from them, but the price is a bit high. They have model
SU-V6 listed, but I don't know if that is the same as mine or not.

Does anyone know any other sources? I contacted Panasonic Canada's
distributor and this manual is no longer available.

This unit has a couple of problems. I replaced the power amp output
transistors and some complimentary resistors. Powered it up with a light
bulb in place of the line fuse. Bulb came up bright but went dim, so I
measured the output transistor voltages. They seemed quite normal but
there was no sound coming out either headphones or speakers. I was
tracing with a signal tracer and there was no audio signal getting to
the amp board at all. It seems it was being lost somewhere on the
switching board but I couldn't follow it. While tracing in the pre-amp
section on the amp board, my probe may have touched two transistor leads
at once but not sure (small signal transistor) and all of a sudden the
light bulb went bright so I unplugged the amp. Now I have one of the
output transistors shorted again. I'm not exactly sure my probe was to
blame or if it was a coincidence in timing. The heatsink was stone cold.
One other note, there is a LED that is lit all the time, labelled
"Safety Operation- ON" Does this mean that the amp is in some sort of
fault- sensing protection state?

So to do this repair, I really should have a schematic.

Thanks for any help.
