Jeff, The HV diode will read open unless it is shorted. A blown fuse is 
normally a problem with the door switches or the maggie. Try 
disconnecting the maggie leads and if it still blows a fuse get the door 
switches. Also the HV cap can short, check that for ohms leakage with 
the wires pulled loose. Always work with one hand in your pocket and 
don't use your TV HV probe!
