Jeff, The HV diode will read open unless it is shorted. A blown fuse is normally a problem with the door switches or the maggie. Try disconnecting the maggie leads and if it still blows a fuse get the door switches. Also the HV cap can short, check that for ohms leakage with the wires pulled loose.
