No, you can't blame that piece of junk on Funai, that was made by Samsung. (just joking about Samsung) I would more likely suspect the LED as being bad. It is easy to check the end sensors with an ohm meter. Also, this uses the X3 mechanism that needed the modification kit for the gears on the side of the basket (RCA # 221066). HTH, John.
