I use the 2SD1881 to replace the 2sc4927.  They run cooler, are more stable
and more reliable.  I have had more recalls with $10 Sony replacements than
with $2.00 generics.  No heat sink is needed IMO if there are not other
problems with the circuit.

I can provide my customers with a better value and make more profit by using
a replacement in this case, so that's what we do.  I recommend caution when
deciding to use subs, however, and recommend comparing in circuit
performance carefully to the original.
