Hi I had the same problem and it was the hot and I didn't use original part and there is difference on readings between collector and base. So if you are using generic part I think that is the problem. as soon as you replace the hot that should solve the heat problem. good luck Ken Dinckan ********************************************************************* e-mail to: alltv@xxxxxxxxxxxxx <mailto:alltv@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> ALL TV & APPLIANCE SERVICE 2747 Roosevelt Street suite B Carlsbad CA, 92008 Phone (760)-4341131 / Fax: (760)-4348856 ********************************************************************* -----Original Message----- From: techassist-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:techassist-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of Philip Bader Sent: Thursday, September 04, 2003 1:55 PM To: techassist@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [TechAssist] Sony kv27ts32 SMPS kit installed, replaced 2SC4927 v. hot Had a shorted HOT 2SC4927 and the SMPS transistors Q601,602,resistors,etc. Installed an SMPS kit (OEM-Q601,602, 3 VDRs, 2 resistors). and an OEM 2SC4927 HOT. Powers up,plays good, but I think the new HOT runs hot. What other parts are usually responsible for this? Phil Bader -- Philip Bader Jan Phyl TV Inc. (estab. 1976) 3420 Recker Hwy.
