That would sound logical to me and I am very familiar with this chassis. I have not encountered this and I must ask if this happens with both the remote and front panel controls as perhaps there may be a leaky switch on the panel causing the micro to react that way as opposed to the micro being defective itself. Having said that, before replacing anything, I would enter the service menu and then do a reset by using the "8" and "ENTER" commands from the remote to see if this clears it up.
