[TechAssist] Sony PTV KP53HS10 intermittent loss of green crt and brite red raster

Any sony experts on list,
picked up this unit on call yesterday, no schematic, unfamiliar with Sony
PTV.
After on @ 10 minutes loses green raster filimants OK, +185 volt on cathode
while this tube is out red will intermittently get very brite can see faint
video in background. Green will intermittently flash back on for 3-4 times
at1 second intervals same time red will go normal.
does not appear to be loose connections.
Is this gonna be a dog!!
any knowledgable help appreciated.
