Perhaps this is applicable and I will upload the service manual to the members area for you. SYMPTOMS: Display flashes PROTECT. Output transistors OK and no DC is measured on audio output lines. PROTECT IN line measures 0v. CAUSE: IC201 was internally shorted, pulling the PROTECT IN line to 0v. RESOLUTION: Replaced IC201 (part# 8-759-385-78)to restore normal performance.
