Is c502 the .47uf 50v cap off of the HDT? If not--that little bugger may
the cause of all of your nightmares on this one. I allways replace it no
matter what is wrong with the set.

flyback Q602, Q601, VDR601 and HOT. After first failure found weak C502 on
deflection board and replaced. Replaced parts again and TV played about 2
hours, HOT running hot. Blows HOT and power supply. Helping another shop
here in town on this one. Found a couple of tip on Ring cracks around pins
of T501 Horizontal driver transformer and T603 reg drive transformer for
different models. He said he thought he had already re-soldered the
transformer. Thanks group.
