I'd check the tac switches and around any IC's that may be below the band
around the crt for leakage or corrosion- ie the windex syndrome---for
windex you may substitute juice, milk etc. if little ones are in the house
and things like that. Peter pe.kow@xxxxxxxxxxxx Keith's Burlington ON

Subject: [TechAssist] Sony KV32FV300 strange things

This set will have a screen that says, Original set up and an option of,
Auto program (ch+) or Exit (ch -).
This comes on by it's self intermittently. It can be extinguished by hitting
the menu button or the ch - button. However it may come back within a few
seconds or minutes. The screen will sometimes go black and show DVD or video
4 in the corner and the remote has no control of any functions. You can turn
the set off manually and back on manually. Is this a software problem or
some type of noise on the data lines?
