This also is for the KV1926 TV, same PS.
Dead,no click.Checked the standby power supply which is tapped right off
the high AC line before thr relay, thru resistor R613 (100ohm 2W) to
rectifier D604.Anode had good AC, cathode source only about 50 VDC,half
the amount. this should be +137 VDC.(it then branches down to the +5 VDC
stby). D604 has a capacitor C614 (22mfd/250V) that opened up and oozed.
Replaced it, powered up OK now.
This is a small older 13" Sony, but if we knock these out fast at ,say,
fifty bucks or so, doesn't take a lot to make some money.
That's why I keep my old (1970's up) 3x5 syncure cards on file in stead
of tossing them. It allows a quick fix and a quick dollar.
Motto: never turn down anything if a deposit is left!
