Power Cycles With Front Led

CAUSE: Multiple; IC301 (CXA1477AS), STK392-010's, R1519 (2.2), and Vertical
IC.

REMARKS: Originally the set would try to turn on and would have R,G,B bowed
lines at the very top of screen, pulsing with power cycling. IC301 had no
vertical out pulse. Replaced Vert IC along with IC301 and then was
blowing -15v fuse on Convergence "D" board. Replaced STK-392-010 IC's and
set would still pulse on/off. Found R1519 @ 2.2ohm open causing no -15v to
vertical IC Pin 4.

Replace Any Blown 3.15a Fuses On Convergence Board, Then Replaced Both
Stk392-010 Convergence Ic'S, Then Check All Of The Parallel 4.7 Ohm
Resistors Under Convergence Ic Heatsinks. Check Each Resistor By Lifting One
Lead Off Pcb. Also Resolder These Resistors Because They Commonly Have Small
Ring Cracks On Them. Check All For Solder.

Subject: [TechAssist] Sony KP53S15

Anyone have a fix for a Sony KP53S15 that is in shutdown. HV comes up
and then immediate shutdown. The B+ is right on at 135v and after
taking 2nd anode lead off
it will arc to ground almost 4 inches and burys the HV meter at over
40KV. Is there any common fault for this set. The 2 damper diodes test
okay and the 2 critical caps are on the money any help would be
appreciated. Thanks

                                                    Bill G.
