Set came in with a complaint of No Power and 'flash' behind the right speaker
at Power on.
I get immediate shutdown at plug-in.I think the Flash is a relay closing
but not sure.
Anyway,I disconnected the flyback input to the HV Splitter and the set fired up
at plug-in.
I put the flyback anode back in to test the Picture tubes one at a time,but
before
I disconnected any of the Tube anodes from the HV splitter,I plugged it back
up.Set came on momentarily then died.Now I don't even get shutdown,it's dead.
Found on the 'N' board Q811 2sd1887 shorted,andQ801 2sd2555 shorted.
also on the 'G' board found Q603 and Q614,both 2sc4582, shorted and
R604 .1 ohm open.
Tritronics has HV Tripler as 1-453-108-11,replaced by -12, $140.94 retail.
Has anyone been down this road,or have some tips on this set.
