Is the sound also distorted using the audio video inputs? If the sound
clears up then the tuner may be at fault. Does this set have the
infamous SBX-1637 MPX module?

Subject: [TechAssist] Sony KP46XBR35 2nd & Last request for this pain

Hi Guys, I asked about this before with very few responses, after
working on it for 3 days
I can see why, I changed IC7001 & IC 406 with no change, the Right
channel is very
distorted and actually louder than the left channel, The new info I have
to offer is that
the Left channel becomes distorted just like the right one if I go into
the menu, click on
audio pallette and change to movie, sports, music, or game mode, Left
works only if
set to standard or news, I don`t do many Sony`s around here so I`m not
sure what
the significance (if any) is, but I thought it might with some of the
Sony ASC`s, I have
all the voltages to both the Y2 & YA boards, I hate to give up on any
set but I`m
losing money at this point as I don`t charge if I don`t fix the set, Any
ideas?? Larry E
