LeRoy; I believe that Sony has the famous Lever that seizes up or starts getting slow on the spring return. You have to undo the small locknut, clean and lube both the shaft and the lever. Lever is on the right side of the deck, and pulls the tape between the Pinch Roller and Capstan. -Ed- Ed Gaidies Tel-Tek Electronics Ontario-Canada Servicing the Consumer Electronic Industry since 1963 teltek3@xxxxxxxxxxxx -----Original Message----- From: techassist-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:techassist-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of LeRoy Westlund Sent: Wednesday, February 25, 2004 1:10 AM To: TechAssist Subject: [TechAssist] Sony Integrated Amp/ VCR model SLVAV100 - Eject problem. Hi Members, My barber has this Sony High-end VCR unit, that will not eject the cassette completly. It gets hung up and has to be gently pulled on from both sides to give it a boost, to get the cassette out. I have not seen the unit yet, but he wants me to fix it, IF it is cost worthy. I have located a few fixes for some high-end Sony VCRs that say to look for a cracked plastic/nylon loading gear. I need to know if that applies to this set, and also need to find a part number for said gear.
