From Tech Repair CD:
Sony,DVPS560D,DVD,0.8A smd fuse open-causes *No Disk* to be displayed,this fuse 
is next to IC401 and can
be jumpered out and the set will play fine.,,Replace F402 with a zero ohm 
resistor (1-216-295-00),You must
also change R416*R418 to (1-216-844-11) 82k chip resistors,,,,,,,,

Unit will not read t.o.c. on DVD's. Searches, then shows no disc on display. 
Checked ribbon cable for
breaks and cleaned pickup. Have no info on this unit. I hear what sounds like 
stripped gear during search.
May be normal but don't remember hearing that sound on other units. Visual 
inspection without disassembly
shows nothing.      PAUL
