[TechAssist] Sony DCR-TRV520 wont load

This 2000 8mm camcorder runs the take up reel for about 10 seconds when
power is applied. LS Chassis wont go down with a tape. Goes down without a
cassette, take up reel runs for several seconds, and comes back up again.
Dont see any emergency codes in the display. No place to plug in the RM95
and has a door on the back for some sort of jig (different than the one we
recently bought for $75, of course). Any procedure for reading the emergency
codes in the display?
Behaves like no reel fg or maybe no capstan fg but the LS flex pcb looks to
be in good condition where the traces usually crack.
