[TechAssist] Sharp 8mm camcorder tape trouble

I have a Sharp 8mm VLE-630 that will sporadically have
the tape hang out of the cassette on eject. Other
similar units will ocassionally eat tape but it seem
only with Hi-8 tapes. Normal grade tapes seem to run
fine. Has anyone seen these symptoms and have a sure
cure for either?
