KA7631 is almost the same....
KA7630 with outputs of = 5.1v & 8v & 12v
KA7631 = 5.1v & 9v & 12v
This is a fixed multi output regulator.. first two outputs are at 0.5amp
while third output of 12v is up to 1amp with external PNP transistor.

Thanks for the comeback. This set came in with only the top half of the picture
showing up. I pulled the vertical output IC and the number on it is KA7630. I

been trying to get a hold of Samsung with no luck. I guess Samsung is not a
very good
brand after all, if you can't get parts for them and/or have typo's on their
parts. I
