[TechAssist] Samsung VCR Clutch Probs ?

I just ran into two Samsung VCR's with the same fault; Noisy, failing clutches.
Am I just late to see a common problem ? The model # is VR8729C and VR8660C I
would guess about 18 months old. Is there a kit or part # ?
